Job Description Summary:
The Sooch Tech Engineering team is looking for a like-minded Senior Full Stack Engineer to help us build time sensitive services. You will have opportunity to understand how cross boarder payment works and reimagine how local merchants across the world can receive instant payment through e-wallets and QR codes. Our solutions can be accessed by the users through their e-wallet UX (web portal, mobile app) to make instant payment through the usage of our APIs. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Design, implement, test, and monitor services and APIs on the platform securely, reliably and at scale.
• Lead projects end-to-end - from design phase to delivery and monitoring.
• Work with product team to build out a great solution with engineering excellence.
• Be able to identify possible risks and provide a solution for it.
• Be able to do any project sizing with very minimum guidance required.
• Provide project’s status update to CTO.
• Take ownership on critical tasks, such as performance, scalability, and live issue
• Develops, communicates, and influence the team to improve processes and best practices.
• Willing to wear multiple hats
• Keep up-to-date on new technologies, evaluate and bring new technologies into Sooch Tech, and correctly choose among competing technologies or implementations to solve problems or develop new capabilities.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing and delivering software platforms.
• Proficiency developing object-oriented software in Java or equivalent languages
• Experience with Java tech stack such as EJB, JPA, JSF, Glassfish, Eclipselink or Hibernate
• Proficient in client & server-side JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with web front end technologies client-side frameworks such as NodeJS, React, Angular
• Experience with any functional programing language
• Experience building a scalable, production-grade micro-services/API based platform.
• Solid understanding of concepts like Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, FIX Protocol, Message Queue, Distributed/Scalable Architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
• Experience with Fintech, Retail industries for both B2C and B2B (merchants/affiliates) is desirable
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Willing to receive salary in equity share or equity share/cash combination
• Able to work remotely and collaborate with colleagues virtually
• Experience with e-Wallets and payment solutions highly desirable
